The Holt Community Arts Council will kick off its 12th annual Music in the Garden summer concert series Thursday, July 11 at the Veterans Community Gardens amphitheater. The concert series is free to the public and food will be for sale. Bands will take the stage at 7 p.m.
“We are excited to kick off the 12th season of the Music in the Garden concert series. The Holt Community Arts Council was founded to curate engaging arts and cultural experiences for residents to enjoy right here in their own community,” said Sara Reedy, president of the Holt Community Arts Council. “This has become one of our most popular events, and we are thankful to Arts Council of Greater Lansing and Delhi Township for helping to make this free concert series possible.”
Music in the Garden is a true community effort. The Holt Community Arts Council receives annual grants from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the Arts Council of Greater Lansing to produce the show. The Delhi Township Downtown Development Authority hires the sound company and Delhi Township provides the venue.
The 2019 Music in the Garden concert series will run for four weeks. Performers include:
• Teddy Petty and the Refugees on July 11
• The Dangling Participles on July 18
• Full House Band on July 25
• Root Doctor on Aug. 1
