Delhi Township has announced Tracy L.C. Miller has been promoted to township manager, after serving as the township’s director of Community Development since 2005. Miller started her new position on May 1.

“Tracy Miller has the experience, skills, demeanor and relationships necessary to continue the township’s track record for being a great place to live, work and raise a family,” said John Hayhoe, Delhi Township supervisor. “I am confident she has what it takes to take Delhi Township to the next level. I look forward to working with Tracy in her new capacity to bring our community’s goals for the future to life.”

For the last 14 years, in her role as community development director, Miller oversaw the township’s economic development and public improvement projects. She also planned, developed and implemented the Realize Cedar Project and implemented initiatives to improve the township’s service delivery among other things.

Prior to her role as community development director, Miller spent seven years as a development specialist with the City of Lansing’s Economic Development Corporation and two years as Watertown Township’s planning and zoning director.

Miller holds an MBA from Davenport University, a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning from Michigan State University, and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.

“Delhi Township is a vibrant community known for offering a great quality of life for people of all ages,” said Miller. “The township’s high-quality customer service has made us Ingham County’s fastest growing community and I am committed to maintaining the township’s excellent track record of transparency and fiscal responsibility.”

Miller replaces John Elsinga, who served as Delhi Township’s manager since 1996.
