Effective Immediately: Recreational Burning in Delhi Township

As a result of the Governors Stay at Home Executive Order Delhi Township offices temporarily closed and shifted to essential work and employees working at the township offices.  With that order the ability to renew recreational burning permits in a timely manner is impossible.  As Fire Chief I realize the importance of encouraging our citizens to stay at home to stop the spread of COVID-19.  Furthermore, having a recreational fire at home not only encourages families to Stay at Home but also stay safe while enjoying time with the family.

As Fire Chief I have ordered all recreational fire permits that have expired after March 1, 2020 will have their expiration dates extended to June 1, 2020.  There will be no new recreational or brush burning permits issued until June 1, 2020.  This order may be extended or rescinded by the fire chief based on the current public health crisis.
