May, 2008
During the month of May, the Delhi Township Fire
Department rented a fire training trailer from DeWitt Township Fire
Department to provide special fire scenario training to fire personnel.
This training was done 5 sessions which totaled approximately 12 hours of
training for each fire department employee.

The training
trailer from DeWitt Township affords fire personnel the opportunity
to train in real life fire scenarios, under controlled
circumstances. Scenarios such as roof ventilation, forcible
entry, and interior burns are possible with the trailer. |

Fire personnel
are briefed by D/C Porcello prior to entering the burn chamber in
the trailer. |

Fire personnel
train in the art of roof rescue under the direction of FF/PM Steve
Schroeder. |
