Cadet Openings
The Delhi Township Fire Department holds a Cadet
Program annually to train those persons who are residents of Delhi Township and
wish to be paid, on-call firefighters to serve the Delhi Township Community.
Applications for this program are taken year around, and enrollment in this
program is limited. Please contact the Delhi Township Fire Department for
further information.
For Cadet positions, apply
at the Delhi Township Fire Department, 2074 Aurelius Road, Holt, MI between the
hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Copies must be provided
of
all certifications along with a copy
of current driving record from the State of Michigan Secretary of State office.
Paid, On-Call Positions
The Delhi Township Fire Department is continually
seeking qualified individuals interested in being members of the paid, on-call fire department. Members
of the fire department receive $15 per hour for all work required as members of
the department. Members are expected to participate in monthly training
sessions requiring approximately 8 hours of commitment per month. Additionally,
persons interested should be willing to participate in 8 to 10 hours per month
associated with fire and rescue calls. Paid, on-call members must be
trained to Firefighter II and HazMat Operations qualifications. Any person
who is interested in being a paid, on-call member and does not hold the required
certification, but are interested in becoming a paid, on-call member of the
department should contact the fire department to see if they are eligible to
become a cadet member as described above.
