Voter Registration

Register and Vote!

You can register to vote at the Delhi Charter Township Clerk's Office anytime Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The Clerk's Office is located in the Community Services Center at 2074 Aurelius Road.

2008

 

Presidential Primary

Saturday, January 12, 2008 - Electors who wish to receive an absentee ballot for the January 15, 2008 Primary Election by mail must submit applications by 2:00 p.m.  The Clerk's Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Monday, January 14, 2008 - Electors who wish to vote by absentee ballot for the January 15, 2008 Presidential Primary Election must vote in person in the Clerks office by 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, January 15, 2008 - ELECTION DAY Presidential Primary. Polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Holt Public Schools Board of Education

Wednesday, February 13, 2008 - Holt School Board Candidates who wish to seek office at the May 6, 2008 election must file an Affidavit of Identity and nominating petitions (a $100 non-refundable fee may be filed in lieu of petitions) by 4:00 p.m. at the Delhi Township Clerk's Office.  Withdrawal deadline elapses at 4:00 p.m. on February 19, 2008.

Monday, April 7, 2008 - Last day to register to vote for the May 6, 2008 School Election.

Friday, April 25, 2008 - Candidates who wish to run as a write-in for Holt Public School Board must file Declaration of Intent by 4:00 p.m. at the Delhi Township Clerk's Office.

Saturday, May 3, 2008 - Electors who wish to receive an absentee ballot for the May 6, 2008 Election by mail must submit applications by 2:00 p.m.  The Clerk's Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Monday, May 5, 2008 - Electors who wish to vote by absentee ballot for the May 6, 2008 Election must vote in person in the Clerks office by 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, May 6, 2008 - ELECTION DAY.  Holt Public Schools Board of Education.  Polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

August Primary

Tuesday, May 13, 2008 - Candidates for County Convention Delegate (Precinct Delegate) file Affidavit of Identity for August Primary by 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, May 13, 2008 - Candidates for Township Board running with party affiliation file petitions and Affidavit of Identity for August Primary by 4:00 p.m.

Monday, July 7, 2008 - Last day to register to vote for the August 5, 2008 Primary Election.

Thursday, July 17, 2008 - Candidates for Township Board running without party affiliation file petitions and Affidavit of Identity for August Primary by 4:00 p.m.

Friday, August 1, 2008 - Candidates for County Convention Delegate (Precinct Delegate) who did not file Affidavit of Identity by May 13, 2008, may file Declaration of Intent to run as a write-in for August Primary by 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 2, 2008 - Electors who wish to receive an absentee ballot for the August 5, 2008 Election by mail must submit applications by 2:00 p.m.  The Clerk's Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Monday, August 4, 2008 - Electors who wish to vote by absentee ballot for the August 5, 2008 Election must vote in person in the Clerks office by 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, August 5, 2008 - ELECTION DAY.  Primary Election.  Polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

November General Election

Monday, October 6, 2008 - Last day to register to vote for the November 4, 2008 General Election.

Saturday, November 1, 2008 - Electors who wish to receive an absentee ballot for the November 4, 2008  General Election by mail must submit applications by 2:00 p.m.  The Clerk's Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Monday, November 3, 2008 - Electors who wish to vote by absentee ballot for the November 4, 2008 General Election must vote in person in the Clerks office by 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008 - ELECTION DAY. General Election.  Polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

 

Absentee Voting

You never have to miss an election!

Are you:

  • Going to be out of town on Election Day

  • or 60 years of age

  • or Physically unable to attend the polls

  • or Unable to attend the polls because of your religion

Then you can request an absentee ballot application from the Clerk's Office one of these three ways:

  1. call 694-2135

  2. email us for an application at clerk@delhitownship.com

  3. click here for an application you print, then fill out and mail or fax to us*

We have a growing list of permanent Absentee Voters.  If you are 60 years of age or physically unable to attend the polls, email us to have your name added to the list.  You will automatically receive an Absent Voter Application for every election held in Delhi Township.

As we strive to provide quality services at our polling places, we are always looking for registered voters to become part of our Election Day team.
