Realize Cedar: A new vision for Holt's 'downtown'

Welcome to the future of Holt.

This is the Realize Cedar page, which will have updated information about what is happening with this important project.

Realize Cedar is a vision that involves infrastructural improvements that will spark a desirable upside: A lively, distinctive town center with unique character and charm. A place where business and residents can blend and mingle in harmony.

The plan started last year, with a steering committee and the hiring of a professional firm, McKenna Associates, to conduct an independent study and garnering public opinion on how to create a sense of place.

The firm, with a steering committee, created a plan that was adopted by the planning commission, and accepted by the board of trustees,  which can be seen at this link.

Concerns over changes in traffic patterns prompted a traffic study by engineers Hubbell, Roth and Clark. This study can be found here.

There are also frequently asked questions, and the answers are here.

A video that shows what the vision looks like is here.

McKenna has a website dedicated to the project, which is here.
